It’s kind of hard to find a perfect vegan chicken substitute, but this simple Chicken-style tofu recipe might get you close!

Though the natural texture of tofu doesn’t naturally lend itself as a chicken substitute, it does have the ability to absorb flavors that it’s soaked in, and with a little work with some dry extra-firm tofu, you can get your vegan chicken substitute together really quickly!

There are pre-prepared vegan chicken substitutes available as well if you need something quick ūüôā

This particular vegan chicken substitute comes with an Asian flavor so feel free to experiment with the ingredients you add to the sauce!

Christmas season is back, and though we’re looking forward to friends, family and a break from work, not all the food is vegan-friendly. ¬†Fortunately with a little work and testing we came up with our vegan Christmas pudding recipe, so everyone can enjoy this traditional Christmas fare.

To make our Christmas pudding work for our diet we had to dispense with animal-based products that are part of the traditional recipe. This includes suet, eggs, and dairy, as well as regular sugar which can often be processed with ground animal bones.  (You can get real vegan sugar here).

It is surprisingly easy to make vegan ice cream, that tastes creamy, sweet and delicious!

The only downside is that as with many vegan ice cream recipes, this uses a heavy dose of coconut milk, so it isn’t for everyone!

If you’ve been searching for how to make vegan ice cream, or you’re just looking for the perfect recipe, we hope this is what you’re looking for, and we highly recommend trying it with our vegan sticky toffee pudding recipe!

You are going to need an ice cream maker,¬†[easyazon_link keywords=”ice cream maker” locale=”US” nw=”y” nf=”y” tag=”myveganplanet-20″]here’s some to choose from.[/easyazon_link]

I don’t think there is a better dessert in the world than my favorite vegan sticky toffee pudding. ¬†This easy recipe gives you six huge servings, and only takes about an hour to bake!

While this vegan sticky toffee pudding recipe shows you how to make your own toffee sauce, there are some pre-made vegan toffee sauces out there, but, fresher is better!

This vegan dessert goes really well with a small scoop of vegan ice cream (almond works well with this recipe).

There’s nothing better than a good old cherry pie, but far two many of my friends seem to have given up this delicious treat over the years. It’s surprisingly hard to find a good vegan cherry pie, but the good news is, it’s not hard to bake one yourself.

For the pie crusts in this recipe we suggest using our easy vegan pie crust recipe!

We really hope you enjoy this vegan cherry pie recipe, it’s great for a vegan 4th of July!

**note about the Mandoline**

This is probably a vegan’s best friend – especially if you are as picky about having uniform cuts on your veggies as I am. The actual Mandoline is a little expensive, but worth the money. If you aren’t interested in spending that much, you can find similar versions at Asian Markets for a lot less. There’s a link below that might help explain it for those that are in the 1dark. Good luck and be careful – it is really easy to cut your hands when you first start using this tool!

This goes *really* well with the chocolate cupcake recipe from this site!¬† First, I might warn you that I don’t typically use measurements, so you will have to do lots of tasting when you try this out for the first time, but it tastes really good, so I’m sure you won’t mind.¬† :p
