First of all, heat your oven to 350. Sift the flour, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice and then add in the vegan butter and walnuts. Don't mix it too thoroughly, you just want a crumbly mixture - and reserve 1 cup for the topping.
Grind the flax seeds to a fine powder and add the remaining ingredients in the bowl. Beat with a whisk until well blended - not too smooth, but enough so that everything is evenly distributed. Mix in the raisins.
Lightly grease a cake pan and shake with flour to coat the greasing. Pour in the mixture and sprinkle the topping on. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a knife comes out of the middle clean.
